Choose what is essential

Find a purifier for the room and the way you use it.

Start with the manufacturer’s 4.8-ACH room rating. Add a required display, Pet Mode cycle, turbo setting or body-width limit only if it affects your decision.

A particle sensor is not a gas detector. A numeric PM2.5 readout is different from a color indicator, and room ratings do not guarantee a particular air result.

Personal-space models here include the LV-H128 at 47 ft², Core Mini-P at 53 ft² and LV-H132 at 54 ft² at 4.8 ACH. Their separate one-change headlines are not equivalent room ratings. Open plans and high ceilings can change practical fit. The Coway Airmega ProX publishes 2,126 sq ft at 2 ACH rather than a direct 4.8-ACH rating; its 885-sq-ft comparison value is calculated from that rate and is the only current record above the optional 750-sq-ft extra-large threshold. Coway lists 1,643 ft² at 2 ACH for the Airmega 450; its approximately 685-ft² 4.8-ACH comparison is rate-scaled, not a direct manufacturer rating. The Airmega 400 comparison is about 650 ft² and the ProX about 885 ft². Coway Airmega 250/250S list 465 sq ft at 4 ACH and yield a 387-sq-ft 4.8-ACH comparison floor; the Art lists 440 at 4 ACH and yields 366. Neither figure is a direct 4.8-ACH manufacturer rating. Coway Airmega 250/250S list 465 sq ft at 4 ACH and yield a 387-sq-ft 4.8-ACH comparison floor; the Art lists 440 at 4 ACH and yields 366. Neither figure is a direct 4.8-ACH manufacturer rating. Coway Airmega 250/250S list 465 sq ft at 4 ACH and yield a 387-sq-ft 4.8-ACH comparison floor; the Art lists 440 at 4 ACH and yields 366. Neither figure is a direct 4.8-ACH manufacturer rating. The Blueair Blue Pure Mini Max Auto is directly listed at 105 ft² at 4.8 ACH, so it fits only the personal tier and falls below the 140-ft² compact threshold. Blueair's Classic Pro CP7i page directly lists 609 sq ft at 4.8 ACH; its larger hero and FAQ one-hour/30-minute claims differ, so use the repeated-cleaning figure when that rate is essential. Honeywell HPA6000 is listed at 398 sq ft at 4.8 ACH, enough for the medium tier but short of the 606-sq-ft large tier; do not use its separate, inconsistent 1-ACH headlines as a substitute.

Choose manual-only if you require a model with no app functions; an app-connected product may still have physical buttons. Leave the answer open if connected control is optional.

Help with this choice

This is about automatic air-quality response, not app or voice control. Some purifier manuals identify particle sensing; the C535 manual identifies an odor/gas sensor. If sensor type matters to you, select a target below. A temperature-target Auto function does not qualify.

This means a purifier operating mode, not a selectable night light. Heater-enabled devices may disable Night mode while heat is active; requirements must fit one operating arrangement.

Help with this choice

A purifier can deliver filtered air while heating, but it is not automatically a heater-size air-cleaning rating. Check floor placement, clearances, direct-power rules and mode-specific controls in the exact manual.

Help with this choice

This asks for a purifier sold with a fan function, not just the airflow every purifier produces. Unknown function status does not meet an essential requirement. Honeywell HPA6000 documents vertical, stationary directional-fan and full-room circulation positions; this is one purifier with a fan function, not an added separate fan or an air conditioner.

A pet-oriented filter package is not the same as a dedicated Pet Mode or control/display lock. The Vital Pet Pro lists a washable pre-filter and an activated-carbon/main filter; it does not identify the named Pet Allergy Filter with ARC Formula. Unknown package configurations do not satisfy an essential requirement.
