Blueair bundle comparison

Sleep Athlete Bundle Large vs Medium: room fit and clock setup

Blueair’s Sleep Athlete Bundle Large and Medium each combine a Signature purifier with a separate Mini Restful purifier-clock. They are two-machine room sets, not a single purifier in two sizes. Both include a compact Mini Restful rated at 140 square feet at 4.8 air changes per hour, while their main-room Signature unit changes: the Large is listed at 705 square feet and the Medium at 498 square feet on the same 4.8-ACH basis.

Choose the main-room rating

The Large bundle is the option when a principal room falls within the Signature Large’s published 705-square-foot repeated-cleaning figure. The Medium bundle uses the Signature Medium and its 498-square-foot 4.8-ACH rating. The 606-square-foot large-room finder tier therefore admits the Large package but not the Medium. Both packages also contain the smaller Mini Restful for a separate room of up to 140 square feet at the stated rate. Blueair’s larger “cleaned in one hour” claims describe another, slower basis; never add the two components’ room areas as though both were one machine serving an open-plan space.

A two-room fit is the actual advantage. The Signature can work in a larger living room while the Mini Restful sits by a bed. If you do not have a second room for the clock purifier, a standalone Signature may be the more direct choice. If your main room exceeds 498 but fits within 705 square feet at 4.8 ACH, the Large package has more published headroom; the Mini component does not change between the bundles.

The wake-up feature changes the control tradeoff

The Mini Restful is a purifier with a sunrise light and alarm, not a second copy of the Signature’s sensors. Blueair says app setup is required to create and personalize the Mini Restful’s sunrise and sound alarms; first pairing uses Bluetooth and 2.4-GHz Wi-Fi. Its physical controls operate purifier functions, but the alarm routine is not a manual-only setup. The Signature component has its own local controls and app features. Its particle-sensing Auto, Night mode and numeric PM2.5 display are not documented for the Mini Restful clock unit.

This distinction matters when combining needs. A household can run the Signature’s Auto mode in the main room and use the Mini Restful for a clock in the bedroom, but it should not expect the bedside device itself to show PM2.5 or provide the same dedicated Night mode. Neither product’s listed sound figures confirm a strict dB(A) ceiling: the Mini Restful’s technical and low-speed claims conflict, and the Signature pages provide plain dB figures without an A-weighting label.

Maintenance is model-specific

The Signature and Mini Restful do not share a main filter. The Large bundle uses a Large Signature replacement; the Medium bundle uses the Medium cartridge; both use a separate Mini Restful replacement for the clock unit. Each package page lists one main filter with each device, but the total textile pre-filter count is not clearly stated in the one-time shipment list. Keep that detail distinct from a subscription option and check the exact package contents rather than assuming that one shared sleeve or spare filter serves both machines.

The component bodies also occupy different spaces: the Large Signature is broad and low, the Medium is narrower and taller, and the Mini Restful is a compact cylinder. Both manuals request clearance around their units. The bundle render shows both machines, but is promotional artwork—not proof of the precise finish crosswalk or an independently tested pair.

Quick choice

  • Choose Large when the main room needs the 705-square-foot 4.8-ACH Signature rating and a second bedroom needs a 140-square-foot purifier-clock.
  • Choose Medium when the main room fits the 498-square-foot rating and the second-room alarm is still useful.
  • Choose neither bundle when app-free alarm setup, one purifier only, verified dB(A), or particle readout from the bedroom unit is essential.
