Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Will one 411i+ Max meet a 219-ft² small-room minimum at 4.8 ACH?
Yes. The current exact technical table lists 259 ft² at 4.8 ACH. It does not meet the questionnaire's 358-ft² medium threshold.
Explore this need in the finder →Is a five-color PM2.5 status light enough, or must the purifier show a numeric concentration at the unit?
The manual describes qualitative color status, not a numeric on-unit reading. Color-only is compatible; a numeric panel requirement rules it out.
Explore this need in the finder →Do I need automatic fan adjustment from the particle sensor while retaining local controls?
Auto mode uses PM2.5 sensing and the purifier also has local 1–3 and Night controls. Choose Auto as essential only when particle-responsive changes are required.
Explore this need in the finder →Must the unit work without app features, or is optional app control useful?
It has Wi-Fi/app capability and physical controls, so it works for app-required needs but not a manual-only requirement.
Explore this need in the finder →Will it fit beneath a 19-inch body-height limit?
The exact PDP lists 18.9 inches; this meets a 19-inch body limit. Required airflow clearance is additional.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I rely on an exact SmokeBlock or AllergenBlock replacement as essential?
No hard match is made: the filter page's specific 411i+ compatibility statement conflicts with later wording that omits the plus version. Use the included base filter plan or confirm a replacement's fit before depending on it.
Explore this need in the finder →The Blue Pure 411i+ Max is a compact, app-connected room purifier for someone who wants more repeated-cleaning capacity than Blueair’s 511i Max without moving up to a wider 311i chassis. Its current U.S. technical table lists 259 square feet at 4.8 air changes per hour. That makes it a small-room fit in this guide’s choices, not a safe substitute for a medium-room unit when the 358-square-foot threshold is essential. Its manual model number is 3232111100; the exact one-purifier U.S. offer is SKU 115694.
Use the rate-labeled room figure
Blueair’s detailed specification gives 259 square feet at 4.8 ACH. The page title still says “up to 526 ft²,” and the FAQ pairs the 259-square-foot room with four changes every 12.5 minutes, then separately claims a 1,080-square-foot room in one hour. The page also says current values were updated to reflect DOE standards. These bases do not reconcile cleanly. For a hard room-size comparison, use the clearly rate-labeled 259-square-foot, 4.8-ACH value; do not let the 526 headline or a one-hour claim stand in for the repeated-cleaning figure. A larger open plan, connected kitchen, high ceiling or partly closed doorway can also make a single-room square-foot number a poor description of the actual air volume.
The table gives pollutant-specific CADRs—189 CFM pollen, 174 dust and 167 smoke—not one generic number. If a single CADR minimum is essential, the generic field remains unknown; do not average the values or pick the largest. Keep this plus-named model separate from the non-plus 411i Max.
Sensor automation, but no numeric panel reading
Auto mode uses a PM2.5 sensor, and the controls offer numbered speeds 1–3 plus Auto and Night. The manual describes a five-color status indicator. It does not describe a numerical PM2.5 value on the purifier’s own display, and no separate gas or TVOC sensor is documented here. The app adds remote control, schedules and filter-life information, but connected information should not be mistaken for a confirmed on-unit number or a gas measurement. If the machine must show a numeric particle concentration, this is the wrong configuration; if a color status and sensor-led Auto response are enough, those functions are present together.
Local buttons remain available even though the unit is app-capable. Initial connection uses Bluetooth and 2.4-GHz Wi-Fi. It suits a bedroom, nursery or office where app scheduling and Night mode are useful, but not a manual-only preference, numeric-panel requirement or verified dB(A) limit. Blueair lists 19–46 dB without identifying A-weighting, so a strict dB(A) ceiling cannot be confirmed.
Plan the filter routine before buying
The one-time shipment shown on the exact page contains one purifier, one Particle & Carbon main filter and one Stockholm Fog fabric pre-filter. The main cartridge is a replacement item, not a washable part. The manual says the replacement indicator may come on after roughly six to nine months depending on use and air conditions; the product copy describes its tracking as lasting up to a year. Those descriptions are not a promise that each household gets a full year. Pay attention to the unit’s red filter light and the manual’s instructions rather than buying around the longest advertised interval.
Blueair’s current F4MAX page lists Particle & Carbon, AllergenBlock and SmokeBlock replacement choices and includes the 411i+ Max in its compatibility text. However, lower down, the same filter page has older copy saying it fits only the 411i and 411a Max. Because that wording conflicts with the plus-model compatibility statement, treat SmokeBlock and AllergenBlock fit as unconfirmed until the maker confirms the exact cartridge version; do not count a specialized replacement as an essential match. The purifier page itself displays those filters as choices, but a replacement label with inconsistent compatibility is not enough to promise a future purchase will fit. The separate 411 Max cloth pre-filter page likewise lists 411i Max and 411a Max, omitting the plus model, so do not assume every extra color sleeve listed there fits this exact product. The in-box Stockholm Fog cloth is explicitly part of the exact purifier shipment.
For maintenance, switch off and unplug before opening the housing. The manual explains removing the cloth pre-filter and silencer to reach the main cartridge, discarding the cartridge when the indicator calls for a change, and holding the fan-speed button for about 15 seconds after replacement to reset the light. The cloth can be cleaned following its care label and should be fully dry before it goes back; the main filter is replaced, not washed. Keep the side intake and top outlet unobstructed.
Footprint, power and alternatives
At 18.9 inches high and 10.6 inches wide and deep, the listed body is narrower than the 12.5-inch-wide Blue Pure 311i Max, though it is nearly as tall. It weighs 8.38 pounds and has a 20-watt rated input. Those figures suit a compact spot, but placement clearance is additional to the shell measurements. Its sound specification is 19–46 dB, not a verified A-weighted maximum; compare it with a strict dB(A) requirement only after clarification.
The 511i Max is the close alternative when a shorter, lighter body matters more: its current 4.8-ACH figure is 237 square feet, versus this model’s 259, and it uses a different F5MAX filter family. For a larger room, the 311i Max is listed at 439 square feet at the same rate, while the 311i+ Max lists 525; both have broader bodies. These are different model and replacement-filter families, not interchangeable cartridges because the names share “411” or “311.” Choose by the rate-specific room threshold, control/display requirement, room clearance and the exact filter you can reliably source—not a product title’s larger hourly area.

| Manufacturer filter-check/replacement guidance | The manual states a six-to-nine-month indicator range depending on use and air conditions; product page copy says up to one year via RealTrack. Treat the red indicator/manual care as operational guidance; neither number guarantees a calendar interval. |
| Placement and care | Place on a stable floor/surface with side intake and top outlet clear. Turn off and unplug before service. The manual describes removal of the fabric sleeve and silencer to access the main filter. Follow the cloth care label, dry it fully, replace rather than wash the main cartridge and hold the fan-speed button about 15 seconds after replacement to reset the red indicator. |
