Set up the Mini Restful clock and filter routine

The Blueair Mini Restful combines a personal-room purifier with a sunrise clock. Setting it up as an air cleaner is straightforward; making the sunrise and sound features fit a routine takes a phone and compatible Wi-Fi. Use the steps below alongside the Mini Restful review and exact manufacturer support page.

Choose its place before pairing

Measure the full room, not only the nightstand. Blueair rates this unit at 140 square feet at 4.8 air changes per hour; the separate 607-square-foot one-hour headline is not the same cleaning rate. Place the cylinder where air can enter the fabric sides and leave the top unobstructed. The SC9i manual asks for at least four inches between the purifier and nearby objects. A snug cubby may fit the 6.7-inch body but still block airflow.

Use the supplied AC lead for the purifier. Its USB-C socket charges an external device; it does not supply power to the purifier. The clock’s fan and light can be operated from the device. For the first app pairing, use a 2.4-GHz Wi-Fi network and enable Bluetooth on the phone. The app is required to create or personalize the sunrise and sound alarms, so a person wanting an app-free programmable clock should choose a different alarm device.

Make the alarm routine realistic

Pick the wake time and a gradual 15–30-minute light interval in the app; optional sound comes after the light sequence. There is no snooze button, and Blueair says an alarm will stop after five minutes unless manually stopped. The support team suggests scheduling more than one alarm when a spaced repeat is useful. Local controls can stop the alarm, but creating or deleting alarms remains an app task. Do not mistake the clock readout for an air-quality display; the reviewed page and manual do not document particle sensing or air-quality Auto mode.

Maintain the two filter layers differently

When the red replacement indicator appears, switch off, unplug, remove the washable fabric pre-filter, unwrap the old cylindrical main cartridge and fit the exact Mini Restful replacement. Reset the indicator by holding the fan-speed control for 15 seconds or using the app. The manual gives a 9–12-month recommendation, while the product page says up to nine months; use the indicator and filter condition instead of treating either figure as a guarantee. Vacuum the fabric layer with a soft brush or wash only as its sewn care label allows, then hang it to dry. The main cartridge is not washable or reusable.

Coastal Beige and Midnight are finish choices for the single-unit model. The separate two-unit bundle offers add a second purifier-clock and matching filter set; they do not expand the room rating of either unit. See the room-size and ACH guide before using one in a larger room.
