A useful fit for

A compact, direct-control purifier for a room within the published 217 sq ft at 4.8-ACH rating, when an included pet-oriented filter and a button lock matter more than connected or sensor-driven controls.

The main tradeoff

The P350-P has no documented app, sensor, Auto Mode, Turbo setting or on-unit PM2.5 display. The linked manual and page disagree on rated power, maximum noise and timer choices; don't make those unresolved values hard cutoffs.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Will the P350-P fit a compact room where the purifier must be rated for at least 140 sq ft at 4.8 ACH?

Levoit lists the P350-P at 217 sq ft at 4.8 ACH, with a separate 1-ACH figure of 1,042 sq ft. It meets the compact-room threshold, but leave room for at least 15 inches of clearance on each side and allow for doorways or a speed you will actually use.

Can I keep the air cleaner on direct buttons, without app setup?

Yes. Its manual describes three physical fan speeds, Sleep Mode, a timer and Pet Lock, but no app, Auto Mode or particle-sensor control. Choose the smart Core 300S-P if those connected functions are essential.

Does it include a control that prevents a child or pet changing the selected settings?

The P350-P has a Pet Lock button. The manual describes locking the current settings, so it can help prevent accidental button changes; it is not a pet-mode fan cycle or a way to secure the appliance itself.

The Levoit Core P350-P is a compact, direct-control purifier packaged around a pet-oriented replacement filter. Its useful distinction from the similarly sized Core 300-P is not a larger fan or a smart mode: Levoit supplies a three-stage Pet Allergy Filter with its ARC Formula carbon treatment and adds a Pet Lock control. It is a sensible candidate when those details matter, the room fits the published small-room rating, and you are comfortable choosing the fan speed at the unit.

Room fit: measure the space and allow for the airflow path

Levoit lists a 140-CFM CADR and a room figure of 217 square feet at 4.8 air changes per hour; its separate 1-ACH figure is 1,042 square feet. Those are not equivalent promises. The faster repeated-air-change figure is the more useful starting point for a room where you want regular circulation, but an open doorway, high ceiling, blocked inlet or a speed you find too loud can change the practical result. The manual also asks you to leave at least 15 inches of clearance on every side, so do not plan to tuck the 8.7-inch-wide, 14.2-inch-tall body into a close-fitting shelf. Its footprint is compact; its operating envelope is not.

The page lists 45 watts and noise up to 50 dB; its linked manual lists 56 watts and up to 56 dB. No revision or measurement explanation resolves either difference, so power and maximum noise are not dependable strict cutoffs. The manual includes both Core P350 and Core P350-RAC labels, but that does not prove every separate P350-RAC retail listing is the same offer as the current P350-P SKU.

The pet-filter package is the point of choosing this model

The current US product page identifies SKU HEAPAPLVNUS0163Y and GTIN 817915028681, and says one three-stage Pet Allergy Filter is installed in the box. Levoit describes the filter as an outer fine non-woven pre-filter for hair, dust and lint, a main particle filter, and a high-efficiency activated-carbon stage. The carbon is described as using the company's ARC Formula to adsorb and break down odors. That is a reason to consider the P350-P when pet smells are part of the brief; it is not an independent measurement of odor removal, a guarantee against every gas, or a substitute for removing the source of an odor.

A purifier will not pick up fur already settled on a sofa or floor, so pair it with ordinary cleaning. Levoit says to brush or vacuum the outer pre-filter every two to four weeks. The filter itself is not washable; the manual suggests replacement about every six to eight months, sooner if use, pollution, airflow or odor calls for it. Its indicator is a reminder to inspect, not a measurement of remaining capacity.

Simple buttons, with a useful setting lock

This is not a VeSync-connected P model. The manual describes three physical fan speeds, Sleep Mode, a timer, a filter-check indicator, display off and Pet Lock; it does not document an app, particle sensor, Auto Mode or numeric PM2.5 display. The Pet Lock prevents accidental changes to the current settings, which can be useful where a child or animal can reach the top controls. Locking the buttons does not make the appliance inaccessible or replace safe cord placement.

The manual calls the highest speed the loudest and quickest and suggests a short higher-speed run for a specific air-quality issue, followed by a lower routine setting. For unattended sensor-led operation, compare the Core 300S-P or a Vital smart model. Timer details also conflict: the page advertises 2–8 hours while the manual lists 2, 4, 8 and 12. Do not make a specific timer duration essential without confirming the revision.

Set it up for the filter to work

Before the first run, remove the filter's plastic wrapping and reinstall it with the handle facing up. The manual says to place the purifier on a flat, stable surface and leave the stated clearance around it. Keep it indoors, below 85% relative humidity, away from wet areas and excess moisture. Do not add essential oils: the manual warns that oils can damage the filter and create an unwanted smell. Unplug before cleaning; vacuum the inside and wipe the housing with a soft, dry cloth rather than using liquid.

Levoit's filter listing names the P350-P and certain Core 300-P-family machines as compatible. That shared consumable relationship does not make the purifier bodies interchangeable; check replacement packaging for the P350-P name and plan on replacing a filter according to use and condition.

Who should choose it—and what to compare

Choose the P350-P if your room is within its 217-square-foot 4.8-ACH listing, you want straightforward button controls, and the included pet-oriented filter plus settings lock are more useful than an app. It is less suitable if a numeric particle readout, sensor-led Auto Mode, remote control, a verified wattage ceiling or exact maximum-noise limit is essential. The published area rating also should not be stretched to an open-plan floor just because its separate 1-ACH figure is larger.

For a close comparison, the Core 300-P uses the same listed 8.7-by-8.7-inch body size and direct-control approach, and Levoit gives it 222 square feet at 4.8 ACH. Its included filter is the Original Filter rather than the P350-P's Pet Allergy Filter, and the P350-P adds Pet Lock. The Core 300S-P keeps the compact cylindrical format but adds app and sensor-driven features; it is the better branch if connected scheduling or Auto Mode is required. In every case, compare the model suffix, room-rate basis, clearance and replacement-filter routine—not just the pet-friendly headline.
